The Little Red Hen

Class: Nursery Year: 2017 - 2018

In preperation for our Harvest Festival the children learnt the story of 'The Little Red Hen'.  We heard the story as part of our magic carpet story and the children loved using the resources to retell the story.  They were fabulous at recalling the key language and sequence from the story. We then worked together to make bread just like the Little Red Hen had.  We had to measure, mix, stir, pour, fill, squeeze, squash and knead the dough to make yummy bread.  This would be our gift for the harvest table at Harvest Festival.
