Swimming
Learning to swim from is an important part of our Physical Education national curriculum, it is also an essential life-saving skill. Sadly, drowning this also one of the most common causes of accidental death in children, so swimming is a sport with the potential to save lives. Utilising the Primary PE and Sports Premium funding, we ensure the children receive a course of swimming lessons in every academic year from Year 3 to Year 6. This is particularly important as the school is located near to a canal and we are situated in a coastal area.
