Owl Babies W/E 11.11.16

Class: Nursery Year: 2016 - 17

As part of our topic night and day we learnt about animals that are awake in the night time and learnt the term nocturnal.  We enjoyed hearing the story 'Owl Babies' and could identify the feelings of the characters at the different points in the story.  We drew our own pictures of owls and made attempts to retell the story.  The children loved joining in with Bill's repeated phrase "I want my mummy!" After the interest sparked by creating bonfires last week we collected leaves and twigs again to create nests for our owl babies.    On Friday 11th it was Remembrance Day so the children learnt about the history behind the poppy and created their own poppy artwork.
