Fantastic Food Afternoon

Class: Year 2 Year: 2016 - 17

Thursday 3rd November

As part of our topic on Healthy Eating we have been learning about the different food groups and what makes a balanced diet. We used a variety of ingredients to create our own balanced meal. It had to contain foods from each of the different food groups.

We used wraps, cheese, tuna or ham, tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce, carrot, sweetcorn and baby corn to make delicious healthy wraps.

We used fruit, yoghurt and milk to make tasty, tangy smoothies.

Our fabulous food cafe. Our parents and visitors really enjoyed the healthy wraps and smoothies we made. They enjoyed hearing about all the different things we had learned about food groups and balanced diets.

Exercising with our parents and visitors. We taught our visitors that being healthy isn't just about what you eat. You also need regular exercise.
