European Languages Day

Lesson: Understanding the World

Class: Reception Year: 2020 - 2021

On Friday 25th Septmeber we celebrated European Languages Day. Reception were learning all about Spain. Some children brought in photographs and shared their experiences of holidays they had been on. For snack time we had Spanish omlette (cooked by Miss Rodriguez), olives, tomatoes and cheese.

We used digimaps to look at where we live and where Spain is. The children knew that in Spain they speak Spanish. In maths we learnt to count to 10 in Spanish. In our creative lesson we used the colours of the Spanish flag to make our own marble effect flags.
