Bug hunting

When focusing on 'What the ladybird heard' we went on a hunt looking for ladybirds. We hunted high and low using our magnifying glasses but we didn't find any ladybirds! We did find some other insects though which we found interesting. We talked about how the ladybirds were missing so the children made posters to share this information with the other children. Surprisingly a few days later we found a ladybird in Nursery so the children did get the chance to observe one up close.
